Editing Single.php file to remove Featured Image from single posts

Recommended Posts

eakanter

Hello, I wish to remove the Featured Image from my posts when the full single post is displayed (not from the main page, however). Screen shots attached so you can see what I mean.

I read the instructions here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/fresh-clean-remove-featured-image-from-post

And tried to remove the code

<?php if ($xs_disable_thumbnails_posts == "true") { ?>
<?php } else { ?>
<?php if ( has_post_thumbnail() ) { ?>
<div class="thumbnail-wrap">
<?php the_post_thumbnail('singe-post-image'); ?>
</div>
<!-- END thumbnail-wrap -->
<?php } } ?>

From the single.php file, however no such code exists. Can you explain where to find this and/or another way to remove the featured photo from the single post pages?

Thank you.

eakanter you dont even need to add any code. Within the Visual Editor simply go to your actual post click on the edit option (pencil icon) for "Content/PostLoop and then in the "Thumbs" option tich the "Hide Thumbs" box publish and save.

You can set this to Section options "type" or "local" (on the far left) if you also want to.
