Full Width Widgetized Area or Text Box?

Recommended Posts

flourishdesignstudio

Hello! I'd like to use a shortcode in a full-width section so that I can add Slider Revolution to a page. I've tried using text boxes or a widgetized area, but they will only stay within the content area. Can someone help me out? Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no Full Width Section which allows you to add custom HTML or shortcodes. However, it's actually an awesome idea for a section tbh or maybe to add a HTML field to the Full Width Layout Section. I have added this to our tracker for you.

In the meantime, you could use a hook and use the following code:

Danny Thanks so much for your reply. I must confess that I have never used a hook. I've done some reading this morning and tried to figure it out, but am not quite sure how to create the hook and where to put it. I don't suppose you could provide me with more specific info, can you? I'd be forever grateful! :)

This article is helpful, but does not include where you actually put the hook code. http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/hooks

I want the hook that display the full-width shortcode to be at the top of the content template area. I currently have a RevSlider where I want to place the Slider Revolution slideshow at this link: http://rasaspa.com/
