How do you link a banner to a page within the site or another URL?

I don't believe Banners are intended to be linked, but simply informative. See http://support.pagelines.me/docs/sections/banners/

If you want something that links, try the Callout http://support.pagelines.me/docs/sections/callout/

Should you not have it, let us know and we can point you to where it may be found for download.

The ability to link a page or url to the banner or image associated with the banner would be a great option.

You can achieve something like very easily with PageLines DMS. However, as Rob stated above this is not possible with PageLines Framework, without creating your section based on the Banners section.

Please search our forums, before posting!

I used the callout function and it works. The only issue or bug is that the "(Turn Off) Open link in new window" function does not seem to work when overriding the button output with a custom image/graphic.

A custom callout or banner can also be created in Framework using Responsive Grid, where you have 100% control over everything. Using Buttons found in the same resource, you can place a button where you want it (left, right, center) and text where you'd like it.  CSS will let you align things any way you'd like and change the appearance of things as well.
