RTL Support Roll Out

Recommended Posts

chrissyb

Hi,

I read below that RTL support was due to be offered in a future update:

http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/translating-dms

Is there a time line for this? how will that support differ from previous versions of PageLines?

Can RTL be implemented for the time being in the same way as previous versions?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately, I don't know (and wish I did, too), but I know they're gathering resources and tools for the upgrade.  Concurrently, they're working on fixing so much on the backend that was also broken during the July 23/24 attacks.

I appreciate your kind patience and assure you it will be forthcoming.

Ok great,

So If I need to build a RTL I'd best stick to previous vesrions and perhaps transfer it at a later date?

If you need RTL support, then yes, you're best waiting for RTL support in DMS and in the meantime use PageLines Framework.

Hello, any news on this? I read that DMS was 95% localized in Hebrew, as of August 17th. I did not realize until today that it has not been RTL-ready - I had taken it for granted. Have there been changes since Danny's last post, and is there a timeframe, i.e. is it a question of weeks, of months? Thank you for looking into this - it is vital information as there are important languages that require this feature... Yours faithfully, Jan.
