DMS Editor not working on one site - CSS not showing

Recommended Posts

y3ll3r

Hi There,

I have 2 sites that I have DMS on installed. One is working, but on the other I installed the Revslider and after that it stopped showing the DMS editor for some reason. When I log into the DMS editor I see this:

dms_error.png

I have tried re-installing DMS, removing all other themes and plugins, re-installing wordpress, checking rights on the files, all to no avail. It seems like it is not picking up in the CSS anymore, but can't figure out what is causing it. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Does it look OK when you're not logged in ?

As I am not seeing what you have posted above in your image.

Yeah, it looks ok when not logged. When logging in it looks like the picture above where normally you would see the DMS bar below, but now its all gone just as if when logging in it doesnt want to run the CSS as supposed to.

Can you both enable PL debug mode please and @tpldrew provide a link to your site.

Hey Danny

http://akadrewdavis.com

I'd love to enable PL's debug mode but I can't get to the DMS editor so that I can enable it.

I can't find a place to do it in the dashboard.

Debug mode can be found here - DMS Toolbar > Settings > Advanced.

Also disable all active plugins except for DMS Pro Tools.

I have disabled all plugins and still the same result... no css and no tool bar.

Try and see if the DMS issue is related to your homepage only or is it effecting your whole site. If it is only effecting your homepage, you will be able to see the DMS Toolbar and therefore, enable DMS Debug mode.

From the sounds of it, its seems like this maybe server related.

Danny,

It's the same on every page (I saw that suggestion on one of the forums.)

Unfortunately, I don't think it's a server issue.

The exact same server runs http://www.brandscapingbook.com and the DMS toolbar works fine on that site.

The set-up is exactly the same, leading me to believe there's something wrong with my install or some content or something on this site.

Any other suggestions on how to trouble shoot this? I'm happy to keep trying.

Hmm odd.

When you view your site logged in, can you open up the Chrome Dev tools and see if there are any errors please.

Also, have  you added any custom scripts at all to any sections or widgets ?

Danny,

A HA!

After the reinstall I started activating the plug-ins one by one.

Everything worked fine except for:

Testimonials Lud DMS

Testimonials Lud for DMS

Version 3.2.1 | By bestrag

As soon as I activated this premium plug-in the entire thing failed with the same symptoms again.

After deactivating it, purging the cache, and reloading the DMS editor returned.

Where can I post this for the LUD DMS Testimonials people?

Ok Great 0 thank you for letting us know

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

I have the same issue as described by tpldrew.

After update, DMS Editor is not showing right on any of my pages.

Also, pages show without CSS.

Chrome Developer Tools shows only one warning message (no errors):

event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

I have deactivated all plugins and my Child Theme (Flyte), but with no success.
