Change font-family for a class

Recommended Posts

Armin

Hi,

I am trying to set another font for a class in my CSS.

.brandhead {
color:#ff5f00;
font-family: 'Reenie Beanie', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, serif;
}

While the color is applied, the font is not.

I am not sure why. I thought the fonts are preloaded by pagelines.

Thanks for you advice.

Thanks a lot.

Sorry I wasn't precise enough. But it is a google font. I thought there was some easier way,given this font is already available in the 'typography' section or at least could be added in the 'Extra Google Fonts' part.

Thanks. That's it.

As addition: It was not enough to put the class on the text box. I needed to put the class to the tag itself.

<h1 class="brandhead">header</h1>

I don't really understand why it works only this way here.

Probably because you're customizing it.  When you call a different font, you need to apply it to a specific area with either a class or ID (in a div) so that it works.  Else, the default fonts selected for the section will be applied.
