custom html not displaying

Recommended Posts

imagineutopia

hi. I have added a custom html area on my blog and am just trying to have it display an image, but nothing is happening in my custom area. I can't get anything to show up, not even text.

I'm running the latest pagelines and wp 3.6

thanks,

sorry. I meant to put this in the sections or plugin area. I'd move or delete it but I don't see any options for that off hand.

hi. I went in the cutom HTML area on the pagelines > Blog Page options, and put it in.

<img src="http://iu-images.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/MADE-IN-Kansas-City-logo-burn.jpg" />
<P>show this text.

It may be that your HTML isn't valid, try the following:

<img src="http://iu-images.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/MADE-IN-Kansas-City-logo-burn.jpg" alt="">
<p>show this text.</p>

If this doesn't resolve your issue, let me know in your reply and I will move the topic to the correct forum and inform the developer of your issue.

I'm not sure what's happened. Can you provide a link to this blog page?

hi.

here's the page: http://www.imagineutopia.com/test-custom-html

There should be a simple custom html area under the post content and before the post pins.

I can't get anything to show up in any custom HTML area. Right now I just have a little text in there. <P>here</P>

As that is a section, have you added the section to the correct template?

hi. yes this is the case. I have added this section to the right template.

I can drag and drop sections below where the Custom HTML should show up and they show up. for instance I added Featured Boxes now and its there perfect.

just nothing will show that I type in the Custom HTML area.

hi,

thanks for getting back to me.

I don't think this section works. I never had any luck getting it to work before either.

I tried contacting the company highergrounds you recommended.

they are having an issue with their contact form. when its submitted it says 'are you sure you want to do this'?

there's no option for yes or no. its just a blanket statement error message.

moving on.

does DMS have a comparable thing to easily put custom HTML in areas?

hm. they are having some real issues on their site.

maybe I'll hear back from them on twitter but probably not. maybe they closed their doors?

oh well. I'll use a sidebar for now and hope DMS has a better handle on this kind of thing.

DMS has a number of sections that supports both HTML and Shortcodes. You can use either the MediaBox or TextBox sections.
