DMS Overrides image size & crop

Recommended Posts

DMS is overriding the image sizes as set in Wordpress.....

function pl_theme_support(  ){
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
add_image_size( 'aspect-thumb', 900, 600, true );
add_image_size( 'basic-thumb', 400, 400, true );
add_image_size( 'landscape-thumb', 900, 450, true );
add_theme_support( 'menus' );
add_theme_support( 'automatic-feed-links' );
add_theme_support( 'woocommerce' );
There are a couple of issues with this, apart from every image now creating 6 images (3 from wordpress, 3 from pagelines DMS), all the images used by DMS are cropped.
Can this behaviour be changed somewhere without actually altering the code? also we don't really want additional resources being created, we want DMS to obey the rules as defined in Wordpress. For the site we are creating we will have around 150,000 images, these are all hosted/served by AWS S3/CloudFront, the creation of 3 additional resources per image will increase our Amazon costs quite a lot!!!

DMS is using the defaults.  If your featured images are set in WP Media to a different size, I believe DMS may just pick the default image size.  You can reset this by editing the template.
