Possible to create similar page with DMS?

Recommended Posts

I really like the LinkedIn Today page as seen here:

http://www.linkedin.com/today/

Is it possible to take my existing blog and have it mimic this style? I have been trying but so far have not been able to do it, and have reverted back to default.

I thought maybe PostPins might work, as seen at the bottom of this page:

http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/

but I don't see any option for PostPins in my Sections, and I have no idea if it's the way to go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

PostPins aren't ready for DMS.  Meanwhile, to get the boxes like effect the LinkedIn modal shows, you can use Grid System code in a text box. See http://demo.pagelines.me/tools for the Grid System code.  I used the grid system to replace a 6 column box group in my footer.  It worked brilliantly, and was totally responsive.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do as you suggested. Come to think of it, the single biggest reason why I paid for PageLines is because I wanted to drag and drop and move things around my site as was shown in the promotional video, not learn code.

Hi,

DMS (and come to think of it, Framework, too) include Drag & Drop functionality, but when someone wants to customize, then custom code may be required.  Each section of DMS has built in customization settings, but they're limited because everyone wants something different.

You can read the info on our Docs at http://docs.pagelines.com.   Sample code for the grid is found here: http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/responsive-grid

It's so simple and really, it's not coding. Promise!
