Sidebar distinction

Recommended Posts

I am wondering is there a way to make the sidebar stand out where it looks 3D, I was able to do this using a shadow on other sites, but not quite sure now with DMS.

Thanks

Kris

I am assuming I could do this with a text box, I want to title the sections of sidebar like on this site

Kris,

You can apply a custom class to the sidebar, then, using CSS, you can apply a border, box-shadow, and feather the shadow so that it gives a 3-D appearance.

See http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_box-shadow.asp

And of course, you should read http://docs.pagelines.com

Rob,

     I appreciate the reply!     I have previously used this method using firebug on a previous site.  www.LadyBearsHoops.com, however, I am using a column as a sidebar essentially, and firebug can not identify this as it did the sidebar.  Any ideas.  And should I be doing all of this on a child theme?

You look for the text box, unfortunately.

.section-textbox .pl-section-pad .textbox-wrap {
    padding15px 0;
}
