Lots of 404 errors?

Recommended Posts

Everytime I try to get something, I get 404 errors...

http://www.pagelines.com/api/store_free/theme-pagelines-template-theme.zip -- goes nowhere.

I even get a notice now like this...

DMS v0.9.6 is available. You should update now.

The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

Updating Theme PageLines DMS (1/1)

An error occurred while updating PageLines DMS: Download failed. Not Found.

I can't seem to download anything from your store...

Hi,

Our store may be having some difficulties still.  I apologize for that and assure you we are working to resolve these issues.

Meanwhile, can you check to see where your DMS installation is located? Via FTP, please navigate to wp-content/themes/ and see if you can find a dms folder, or if you have anything else with the term DMS in it.  Let me know.  Your DMS installation may simply be in the wrong place.

Yeah, I figured out that part, the DMS-dev folder had to be redone.

I just read all the stuff about what happened to you guys... my condolences, I understand.

Meanwhile, is there a place for me to download DMS v0.9.6 -- I can't seem to get to that update.

Oh, also, how do I get to the Child Theme?  I can't seem to get to that, either.

Hi,  The DMS-Dev version is incorrect, so the solution is to go via FTP to wp-content/themes/DMS-Dev and fully delete the /DMS-Dev.

Next, go to http://www.pagelines.com and fill in your email address (in your account) and proceed to download the correct file (dms.zip).  Upload it and activate via Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Install Themes.

This will place it into wp-content/themes/dms (and no, renaming DMS-Dev to dms doesn't work).  That will resolve most if not all your 404 errors.

I followed these directions, and now I can't even log into my account, even after trying to change my password. So, I've deleted DMS but can't get the new version. This is a bit frustrating!

Flourish,

Please go to http://www.pagelines.com.  Fill in your email address used in your original Framework acount, if you had one.  Click the option and you'll be able to download the dms.zip file.

Go to Dashboard (WordPress) Appearance > Themes. Click the tab for Install Themes. Click the "upload" link.   Then, browse to the place you downloaded dms.zip to. Upload it, install and activate.    You should now have DMS.  Add your login credentials.  You log into your account and get your license key.  Just please read through the docs at http://docs.pagelines.com for more info.

Hey folks - I'm trying to get right of some 'dead space' at the bottom of the page in the Material Theme. (see attached) Those two gray lines have an "Edit" button in between them when the browser has a login cookie for the site. Here I created a screenshot from a browser session that doesn't have context for my main login, so you can see that the "Edit" indicator is gone, but the bars and the space it occupies still remains. Can someone help me isolate this so I can make it *completely* disappear? Thanks.

      Hello,
I was wondering what the best way to simplify the 404 error page in DMS 2 - removing the headers and footers from the page, but not the 404 section.
      Thanks much. Any help appreciated.

I originally added some posts to an existing thread I found by doing a search:

      http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/35578-wpengine-copy-fail-502-bad-gateway-error/

It turns out that that was in a PageLines sub-forum, not DMS.

Hopefully by posting here, I'll get a response.

My original addition to the above-noted thread had to do with an installation copy on WP Engine that did not go well.

WP Engine had a senior engineer take look at things and found that the root cause was that the theme (I'm using iBlogPro6) was coded to set options using the absolute server path instead of the relative path.   Did a search and replace (of the copy-from and copy-to domain name) with this: https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/and everything loaded as it should.   That, of course, should not be necessary.   Today we did a server migration on WP Engine and I ended up with a blank site, due to the same problem.   It would be nice if this could be addressed in an update (to any/all themes "guilty" of this same problem).   Please advise.

I've encountered the WSOD on my account turmericforanimals.com & according to BlueHost its due to an error due to result of a broken/corrupt theme or plugin

I have been using DMS with pinspro plugin

I tried all their troubleshooting solutions BUT nothing has worked so I'm seeing if you can clear it up.

      I followed their guide to

They say that: - "its not hacker related it has something to do with the errors in the code thats why when I checked the error logs it says: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home3/turmeri6/public_html/wp-content/themes/pinspro/header.php on line 9"

Are you able to help with this OR do I need to go back to BlueHost??
