Two questions about the background

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

First off I'd like to say I'm finding DMS to be awesome! I don't know too much yet on the coding side of things and it usually takes me ages of googling to figure out how to achieve something.

I wanted to ask two questions about the background.

First off, is it possible to set the background of the homepage to be different to the rest of the pages, and still have it dynamically resize?

Secondly, I have set the background to a 5px by 5px image which is tiled, and I'd like that for the rest of the pages. The only problem I can find is that on pages with not a lot of content it leaves a white blank space underneath the footer. Is it possible to fix this?

Thank you so much!

Couple things here

"First off, is it possible to set the background of the homepage to be different to the rest of the pages, and still have it dynamically resize? "

Not currently, youd' have to use some custom code to get that affect.

This is because the bg image is applied to #site-wrap, and i fyou dont have enough content in the page then you'll see the bottom of the page. What you could do is use custom css, and apply the image to the body, so that it fills the entire screen. OR, if you like messing with filters and LESS, @pl-min-height is the LESS variable that controls the min-height of the page, and you can filter this to be whatever you'd like.
