Please find some information regarding the Child theme and other customisation methods here http://support.pagelines.me/docs/customization/customization-methods/

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Hi Martin,

I have read that page, but i could only find information about the "Base PageLines Theme" there. I want to know how i can create my own child theme from scratch, without having to use the "Base PageLines Theme".

Can i follow the Wordpress Codex to create my own child theme for PageLines? Or is there any extra stuff i need to keep in mind regards to PageLines?

Is it enough to create a child theme folder and style.css file?

Also, what do the setup.php file do in the "Base PageLines Theme"? Do i need it for my own child theme?

Hi there,

The base theme is empty, so technically you can just put all your own css, filters/functions in and then change the name and add your own screenshot etc.

If you wanted to create your own you can, there's a list of the core files and what needs to be included here, there is certain information that is required so you can copy/paste that from the base theme into yours - http://demo.pagelines.me/theming/

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
