Hi,

I don't see any shortcode for metadata to show the 'last updated' date for a blogpost, how can I achieve that?

Kind regards,

Willem

Hi Williem

Please you go to

Pagelines > Sire Options > Blog and Post

"Configure Full Width Post Metabar"

or/and

"Configure Clip Metabar"

add this shortcode

[post_date]

Hi batman, thanks for your help, but this part I already knew.

The [post_date] shows the date I created the post, however, I want a shortcode that shows when I last updated it.

I don't see that one in the list so I would like to know how I can achieve this to make it work the way I want it.

To see an example of an post I lastly updated on 28 March 2013, check this link:

http://www.ruzzleonline.nl/ruzzle-windows-phone-releasedatum/

However, the date (because of the shortcode [post_date]) is still 7 september 2012.

Hope to hear from you.

Kind regards,

Willem

Hi there,

Unfortunately there's no shortcode included in the core files to show the last time the post was updated by shortcode. I would imagine you could create a custom shortcode using the last modified function - http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_modified_date

Simon's put some example/references of making a custom shortcode on this thread which could help - http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/25163-custom-fields-in-post-metabar/

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
