I have posted this in the OT forums since is is more a WP question..

The tinymce editor is killing me.

As you all know switching from visual to text to visual ends up striping hmtl tags.. (such as font awesome <i> tags etc.

I recently let a client loose in WP and well.. needless to say I have a mess to clean up.

How are you all dealing with this issue? a plugin? overriding something in functions.php?

There are million google results for this so I thought I would ask this group...

Thanks.

Chris

Hi Chris

In the Tinymce plugin have you checked that the valid elements and valid children are setup to save the settings correctly without stripping the html elements.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi James,

Sorry, I wasnt clear... I assumes the "default" wp editor was tinymce.. so.. I have no "plugin" installed, I am referring to the core page/post editor in 3.5.1

Disable the editor. You can do n a users profile, nothing to stop them re-enabling it though.
