Stupid highlight hates me :(

Recommended Posts

mbreese1

(My highlight. Damn my highlight.)

Okay, I can't seem to center the highlight. I have two, one on page-34 and one on all the other pages. The "all other pages" one is just a titch off, so I fixed it with a negative margin. But NO MATTER WHAT I DO I can't get the page-34 highlight to move. It's just living on the left side of the page and I;m totally at a loss as to why. Any ideas would be *greatly* appreciated :)

#highlight .highlight-splash img {
;
max-width: 100%;
}

body.page-id-34 #highlight .highlight-splash img {
display: block !important;
margin-right: auto !important;
margin-left: auto !important;
max-width: 100%;
}

Hi Bree,

You have an errant ; in that CSS for the highlight. Do you see it?

Yeah I see it. And I also see that I didn't copy all the code. (argh) The site is in maintenance mode but I can send you the login privately...

#highlight .highlight-splash img {
max-width: 100%;
;
}

body.page-id-34 #highlight .highlight-splash img {
display: block !important;
margin-right: auto !important;
margin-left: auto !important;
max-width: 100%;
}

#highlight .highlight-subhead {
color: #666666;
font-weight: normal;
font-size: 150%;
font-family: Lora;
line-height: 120%;
}

Bree, Bree,

What am I going to do with you? :)

You added the Highlight to the Content Area, instead of adding it to the Page Templates for Template 1.

Content Area is the one with the sidebars next to it. See Dashboard > PageLines > Drag & Drop. Look at the pictures near the top. The one on the left is full width, the one on the right shows the layout with sidebars.

Click Content Area, then Template 1. You'll see where you added the Highlight.  It actually is centered, but you have empty space for the sidebar, which is empty.

Solution? Either go to the page and check "Hide Sidebar 1" (or 2, as the layout may be), or, go move the highlight from that template to Page Templates > Template 1.

I'm sure you'll find it very easy to fix this issue.
