I would like to have a few select posts that have a different header image. I believe that I got assistance before, because I have code snips added to my Custom CSS and I believe that this used to work, but now it does not. I put a sample of the code into the Pastebin, but have no idea what to do with it. Here is the Paste bin info - perhaps you can find it?

PasteID: 8qf

Thanks -

Connie

Hi there

The code is the paste bin relates to a particular page, which has the ID 12574. You can use that code again on another page to create the same effect, but you'll need to edit the page id so it's relevant to that page. You'll find the page id at the top of the page in the firebug or googlechrome inspector. Example - http://screencast.com/t/KdT1WlDg5fH

.page-id-12574 #branding .mainlogo-img {
display:none
}
.page-id-12574 .mainlogo-link {
display:block;
width:990px;
height:150px;
background: url(http://www.indieconnect.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/ICMagazineHeadercopy-8-20-12.jpg) no-repeat;
}

Yes, but this code is no longer having an effect. All pages and posts have the main header image...

These are the page Id's you currently have in your css .page-id-12574, .page-id-16349 and .page-id-16963. But these ID's aren't in any of the pages I can see in your navigation. Have you transferred the site or changed/deleted any pages?

Try replacing the Id's above with the id of a current page on your site to see if the change takes affect.

OK-

.page-id-16349 - This one is working... It is a page.

.page-id-16963 - This one is not. Maybe the size of the image is creating a challenge. I will have my guy make an image the same dimensions that are working. Anything else you can think of that would inactivate it? This one is a post - can that be the reason? (http://indieconnect.com/?p=16963&preview=true) It is also a Draft - I don't know if you will be able to see it.

.page-id-12574 - This one is probably for the blog page (http://indieconnect.com/category/indie-connect-magazine-2/) that is a Category. How do I get the page id for a category page?

I sure appreciate you lending your brains to help me figure this out...

Hi there.

Yeah if it's a draft we won't be able to see it. Posts will have their own id, like .postid-16939 instead of page-id.

http://indieconnect.com/category/indie-connect-magazine-2/ that page is showing a category page with a custom class of

.category-indie-connect-magazine-2 you can use.

Ok -

I got postid-16963 to work. Image definitely needs to be edited, but it works.

YEA! Cookies tonight!!!

Thank you for your help! I can see the images, and they need editing, but I feel confident I can fix it from here. Ignore the last Pastebin I put up. It no longer matters.

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
