Two menus

Recommended Posts

patrman

Hello,

I would like to ask if I can have two menus in Pagelines.

e.g.

1. menu will have Items: A | B | C | D

and if the user will click on "D" a new page will open with 2 menu with items: X | Y | Z.

Thank you for help.

Jan

Of course. You can create custom menus or use secondary nav and control which shows where using Wordpress core functionality.

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Hey,

I have studied it. I have created several menus. However, how can I do the following:

on 1st menu will have Items: A | B | C | D

and if the user will click on "D" a new page will open with 2nd menu with items: X | Y | Z.

I do not know how to get a 2nd menu on page D.

First, you should go to Dashboard > PageLines > Drag & Drop.  You will be in the Header section. Drag Secondary Nav from the Available Sections to the Active Sections and position it below the Nav you already have there.

Now, go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.

Create a new menu and call it the same title as Page D. Save it. Add the menu items for Page D's menu. Save the menu.

Now go to Page D. Edit the page.  Scroll down in the edit mode to PageLines Meta Settings. At the very bottom of the screen (in the Page Setup panel), you will see "Select Secondary Nav Menu ".  Now you select the menu you created for Page D just a few moments ago.

Save the settings and save the page.

When you view the page, under your regular menu, you'll see the menu specifically for Page D.  No other page will display this.
