Edit Home page? & extra Image always appearing with Boxes#2 widget

Hello I have two related problems...

1) I can no longer find where in the heck I edit my Home Page. It is listed as Blog to be my home page. In PageLines that seems to be true, since if I turn off some Page Selection Tool for Blog the content goes away. But I can't find where I have my main image set up to show up on my Home Page. (see attached)

Can you please direct me to where I edit that image and content. 

 

2) So, I thought I would just create a static page for my Home Page to solve the problem. I created one, but when I add Boxes#2 to the page, my Boxes show up (see the very very top of the attached doc "MainImageonHomePage" but ALSO that crazy image I am trying to replace shows up. If I turn off Boxes#2 it disappears  Very strange since that image is not associated with any of my 3 Box content. Similary when I turn off Boxes#2 on the Blog page in PageLines Admin area that image disappears but so do my 3 Box content, which I want. 

If I change the default Boxes to display for the entire site... 3 new boxes display... AND that crazy image. I can't get rid of it without getting rid of the Boxes. Strange.

So, HOW Can that image be connected to those 3 Boxes and How can I edit / change that image?

 

Boxes#2 on = Three Boxes AND that image.

Boxes#2 off = Three Boxes GONE Along with that image.

To edit your home page, first find out what page is has been set as your homepage. You can do this by going to:

 

Wordpress Admin Dashboard > Settings > Reading, check to see which page has been set as your static front page.

 

Whichever page has been selected is your homepage, so now go to Wordpress Admin Dashboard > Pages > Select this page.

 

When I viewed your page, it would appear that the code you're referring to has been added from what I can see via a hook. I recommend you view your child themes/customise plugins functions.php file to find the hook. The hook code could be related to the Boxes section and thats why when you disable the Boxes section the code for that image, is removed.

 

We do not provide support to user created code, which is certainly what this is. However, if this isn't your code, then it may be coming from a plugin somehow. Therefore, I suggest you disable all plugins and see if this resolves your issue.

You're awesome. I was so stuck on this issue and you nailed it... it was a hook plugin. 

I looked everywhere to find where the code was that managed that image on my Home page. I remember I had the challenge of needing to be able to post image mapping on that page. Now I remember that a hook plugin is what enabled me to have an html section where I could put the image map code.

Where things get done gets confusing with Wordpress and Pagelines. Then my need (image map on the home page) complicated it one more level by adding that hook plugin. Thank you!
