Setting Feature Background iBlog Pro

Recommended Posts

ordermindsovermediacom

How do I place a background image for each feature page that fills the entire feature section? You can see a sample of this at the site below. http://golfclub-stippelberg.nl/wp/ Is this done by styling the feature section with the function below? "Feature Background (CSS - Optional)" Use CSS shorthand to control the feature background If so, what code do I enter? Thanks. Dave

Yes, that can be done in the section you mentioned. Simply put the following:

url(http://URLOFTHEIMAGEYOUWANTDISPLAYEDGOESHERE) no-repeat top left.

(This is the shorthand described on the right side of the section) Just make sure the images you want to use are the correct width for filling the feature box.

I uploaded a background image to the iBlogPro/images folder and used the code below, however, it is not working. Any ideas? url( feature_background.png) no-repeat top left.

Ah, it didn't need some of CSS coding at all. Just put

http://anthonysplumbinganddrain.com/wp-content/themes/iBlogPro/images/feature_background.png
instead and it will work, but it will only occupy the right side of the feature box and it will take up only half of the space. However, that image's styling is controlled by this in the pro.css (located in the css folder within the pro folder in your theme files):
#feature .fmedia{
	    width:  478px;
	    margin-left: 480px;
	    height:   390px;
	    float:right;}
Open up the file, change the code above to the code below, and save it:
#feature .fmedia{
	    width:  478px;
	    margin-left: 0px;
	    height:   390px;}

...your image will align to the left and occupy the entire box. Just make sure the image is a width that will fill up the entire box.

Is http://golfclub-stippelberg.nl/wp/ your site, it looks like it's working? If that's not your site, please provide a link to your site. Also, if you could take a screenshot of the admin area where you're trying to add background images to the features that could be helpful. Thanks, Bryan

No this is what I have entered in the Feature Background in the Feature Page Setup: feature_background.png I'm placing this in the Feature Background (CSS - Optional) Use CSS shorthand to control the feature background - section of the Feature Page Setup. I've been instructed to enter it 2-3 different ways now and none of them work. I was also instructed to modify the pro.css file which I dad (see above).

If you look at the home page there are 5 buttons for different feature slides - I want to place a different feature background image like the golf website. Maybe we can contact the Golf website people and ask them how they did it? http://golfclub-stippelberg.nl
