Hey guys,

I'm putting together this site - http://www.dark-city.co.uk  - of which all I've added thus far is the branding element.

I'd like to add a vertical, enlarged Nav like the following site, aligned with my logo/branding - http://www.ondryland.com/

I use firebug, and have basic css knowledge so I'm confident I can nail it with a little guidance, any help on how to do this in pagelines is much appreciated.

Thank you

You could use the Brandnav section and then style the navigation menu with CSS. This should be straight forward enough to achieve.

I recommend using Firebug or your browsers built-in web dev tools and inspect the Fix Navigation element to find the correct code.

For assistance visit our custom CSS documentation - http://support.pagelines.me/docs/customization/custom-css/

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Understood. I'm capable of using custom css, and firebug, but for some reason I'm stuck on the specifics and can't figure out what code changes i need to make to be able to alter it. Any guidance appreciated.

Yep, and more specifically what I need to edit to change the layout from standard horizontal to vertical

To find the selector with Firebug, you need to select BrandNav and refer to the code that's being highlighted. When I inspect the menu inside BrandNav, I see this line:

<ul id="menu-home" class="main-nav tabbed-list">

The selector, in this case, would be #menu-home and to make it more specific to BrandNav, the selector would be #brandnav #menu-home. Does that make sense?

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.
