Could you please help me fix this? Thank you!

I selected the News/Blog RSS Icon box in WhiteHousePro to display the RSS icon on pages and posts, however when I click the RSS icon it gives this error message:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Then it provides a bunch of html code as follows:

<channel>
<title>Black Fives</title>
<atom:link href="http://www.blackfives.com/feed/" rel="self" type="application/rss+xml"/>

Thats what RSS looks like, it is raw data that an RSS reader uses.

Oh, OK. Thank you. Wow! So, how might one make it more "readable"?

It isnt meant to be readable. It is raw data for an RSS reader application to display.

Your browser renders HTML

an RSS reader renders RSS data.

two different things, web browers are not meant to render RSS

Sorry to be so unaware of the basics, but does that mean the browser has to be configured a certain way in order to see the feed in a more legible way?

If you change the feed from XML to HTML so your browser can read it, then all the things that need it to be XML like an rss reader program, or google, or feedburner whatever will not work anymore.

The feed is not supposed to be read with a web browser.

      HI there Pagelines Friends!

      I'm looking into creating a custom RSS feed for my blog and was wondering if you had any advice as to the best way to do this. I'm ALWAYS hesitant to modify the Functions.php file, so I wanted to see if you had run into this before and what you would suggest.

      I found this article to be very helpful, but I wanted to see what you thought before diving in and actually trying to do this! Thanks so much for your time!

      I am trying to use feedwordpress to pull news to a postloop.  I have the loop on a page and the news is being pulled in but it is not displaying on the page, the page is blank.  Is there something special I should be doing to get the post to display?

      Thank You!
