Individual Blog Post Pages need customized sidebar

Recommended Posts

I would like to request a solution to the individual blog posts sidebar customization.  I know that on each page you can customize the sidebars that show which is great.  But when you click through to an individual blog post page, all of the sidebars show up and there is no way to hide any of them.  Can someone please help?  The pagelines developer chat said there was no solution right now.  This feature would be extremely helpful for those who utilize multiple different sidebars.

Hi there,

When you create a new post you're able to choose which sidebars to hide in the actual posts meta settings, but this only works on a per post basis - http://screencast.com/t/QTrVVpQnLfrm

If you want to choose which widgets display in the sidebar on different categories/posts you'd need to use something like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi Pagelines team and wider community,
I am looking to develop a single post page for my blog. I have read over an old article on the subject, however the link provided on achieving this goal was giving me security warnings. Is there any way I can get round this?
Secondly, I have had a root around the .zip file provided on my sites backup, however was unable to locate any file in there with the name of Single.php. Does this file exist in the Pagelines theme?
By the way, this is the unsafe article: http://support.pagelines.me/docs/customization/create-a-custom-page-template/ (Click at your peril).

How can I remove the "next post" links below each post page?
Before we had a related post section, but I can't find it among any functions, widgets etc.

      Hi there!
I'm trying to create a featured image for my new blog post. It has text in it, and when I add it as a featured image some of the text is cut off on the right.
Could I get the ideal dimensions for featured images? Or, a way to customise the dimensions so that they are easier to fit in the way I need?
      Thank you kindly

I am having an issue with the size of the font in a text box widget on my sidebar. It has me completely baffled because I have two text widgets on my sidebar and the other one is displaying perfectly.
The sole difference between the two is the amount of text in the widget, but that can't be the problem.
My site is: loveandnudes.com and the text widgets are on the right side at the top.
I have duplicated the one with the issue and I am fiddling with it right now to see if I can find a solution. But I would love any suggestions. I though CSS would do the trick, but either I tried the wrong thing - or I put it into the wrong place.
      Thanks for your help!
