Getting 500 server error after moving 'boxes section' from wp-content/themes/pagelines/sections/boxes/  to wp-content/themes/basetheme/sections/boxes.  I copied the /boxes/ folder back to wp-content/themes/pagelines/sections/boxes/ so it exists in both places now. But, since doing that, I can't load my set or get into the admin panel, just getting 500 Server error on any page.  Maybe not related though?

Get this in my server error logs on wp engine:

PHP Fatal error:  Call to a member function register_tab() on a non-object in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1534/varsity/wp-content/plugins/pagelines-sections/pagelines-soapbox/section.php on line 62

i have a slightly different but working version of the site here:

distill.wpengine.com

thanks for your help.

You shouldnt 'move' any files out of the framework folders. To override a section simply copy the folder into your childtheme. It will be used instead of the main one.

ahh, so thats probably what I messed up. It was moved out of there for a moment, but then replaced so it exists in both. Any thoughts on how to undo my mistake? Should i open a fresh copy of the pagelines framework and re-up the files in wp-content/themes/pagelines/sections ?

James on Pagelines plus chat was very helpful and we got it fixed...

For anybody else having a similar problem, here's his explanation:

i think what happened is the soapboxes section you had active uses the custom post types from the boxes section. So when you moved the boxes section it broke the soapboxes setup

Solution was to delete soapboxes from plugins/pagelines-sections/

thanks!
