Anything Boxes Using Anything Boxes with Events Manager

Anything Boxes supports custom post types, which is nice, but I have trouble using it.

 

I'd like to use it to show events created with the Events Manager plugin, but it is difficult to figure out how to do it, or if it's even possible. I assume I should use custom fields, but I can't figure out what exactly to put there.

 

Basicly I'd like to do this:

- Order boxes by event date (rather than their posted date)

- Only show future events

- Display boxes only from some Event categories

If the plugin is registering a valid custom post type then it should show in your list of options for post types. As far as ordering that might be a different because I don't have custom_meta as an option yet.

Yes, it shows as an option, but it is difficult to customize it to be useful.

 

BTW: What does: Custom Field Key to Query  and Custom Field Value to Query do? Can I use that to show the Event-date?

it's not useful in that you can't order them how you want ? It is at least showing your events correct?

Not useful in that I can't do this:

 

- Order boxes by event date (rather than their posted date)

- Nor can I get the boxes to show the event date/time and location. 

 

Though, my question was wether this was possible "out of the box". If it's not, that's OK, I was just hoping that it was. Using boxes to show Events would be really nice.

Yeah I'm not really certain that I can build this into the product without blowing it up. It's such a specific use case situation that you may just want to manually do this using the default Boxes section ?
