custom color on page or post

I would like to know how it is possible to change the background color as well as the font colors on a particularly page or post. Is it possible to assign color changes to a specific template so it can be used repeatedly? I use a black background with white type for my blog site and posts, but for longer essays, I would like a light background with a dark font.

Hi there,

Yes you can assign different colors and options to a page or post using page specific css. You'll need to use the class for the page or post if you're looking to do different colors for different sets in bulk. Ie all the posts blue etc.

.post {background: #000000;}

Or to target a single page/post use the ID. An example of the code is below

.page-id-407 {background: #000000;}

Thanks for the reply, sorry it took me so long to get back. Does the CSS need to go in the custom CSS field?

Thanks.

      Hi there ,
      i would like to change the color of menu items on hover and the current menu item. Both should have the same color, but not the color given of the theme scheme.
      Any suggestions ? Maybe a css snippet ?

      Thanks

      I'd like to request a section (or that this could be enabled on the background settings of the existing sections) in which we could set a image to stay fixed, just as we can see in the link below:
      http://www.bootply.com/render/100702 (you can see 2 different background images and everything scrolls on top of it.)
      Is it possible to be done without having to code it via CSS every time?

      I need to change the second menu items on hover to different colors.
      i.e factual needs to be blue on hover, fiction red on hover, etc. etc.
      then on the sub menu of factual, all need to hover blue with the main menu factual item staying as blue,
      and the sub menu of fiction needs to hover red with fiction item staying as red.
      etc. etc.

      For the life of me I cannot figure it out.
