Found it! If you go into Theme Options, then Side Bar Options, you will see a box that says: Welcome Message Insert your welcome message If you type your info there it will appear under the "More" section. I changed the "More" to say "Contact Us" by going into the footer.php and looking for this line. <h3><?php _e('More',TDOMAIN);?></h3> Hope that helps!

woohoo! figured out what really needs to happen - USE WIDGETS! so..here is where i am heading...use these widgets 1.) TEXT widget - use html to add logo like the template layout 2.) using the CUSTOM MENU widget, i can pull in the footer nav menu - just like the template layout 3.) using the CUSTOM MENU widget, i can pull in the footer social menu - just like the template layout 4.) TEXT widget - now i can add html here to control the paragraph and line breaks and the font style 5.) TEXT widget - can add anything here...or maybe i will add another widget altogether. WOOHOO! I love wordpress and pagelines! now...how do i get wider widgets...so that more text fits on one line...back to the forum search.... thanks

Yes, going to Appearance > Widgets and then using Text Widgets is the best option. @Anne, please describe specifically what all you want to do with your footer widgets here http://joychurchinternational.org/ and I can help write the code. @Everyone Else, was there anyone else that still needed help? Thanks, Bryan

I have been trying to add a category here for an issue, but unable to do so. Here is my issue: I am having an issue with my footer widget area in the blog section of my iBlogPro Theme. I tried upgrading to version 4, but that didn't fix the problem. Widget area 3 seems to stretch across the page. http://www.tytribble.com/blog'>http://www.tytribble.com/blog Doesn't seem to be an issue here: http://www.tytribble.com

Thanks Bryan! ok...so here is what we did... 1. we wanted wider footers so that long links would not run onto two lines......so we changed we changed the width on the footer columns by putting the following code in the theme options>custom css area:

.fcol {width:200px;}
2. then we had a problem, the 5 columns now did not fit. one of the widgets was actually under all the rest. So...to make it easy...we simply took one out. Just using 4 widgets now. That works! 3. then to get the font formatted to look similar to the links in the footer next to them, we added the following code (again in the custom css area):
.textwidget {font-size:11.5px;color:#444444;}

(if we wanted them to look exactly the same, we should have used an 11px size font instead of 11.5, but hey...we wanted it to be slightly larger...just not huge) hopefully we did it right. everything seems to be working. again...love the pagelines themes! thanks for the help! we
