EcoPro - Changing the green bar at the top of page

Recommended Posts

I have searched your forum and cannot find the answers i need. I want to implement a simple change of the color in the green bar. I would like to add a custom color and or background image. I found a post here, where you suggest this is the file to be edited "eco-bg-spotlight.jpg" but i have not found that file anywhere in the theme directory. I realize there are options for different color schemes but I am looking to customize this.

Well Adam, It certainly helps if you are looking at the images folder of the correct theme. I was looking under iBlog...my bad, so sorry. Thanks for the speedy response.

Can you tell me what each of these images are used for and what if you just wanted to put in one image instead of 3? eco_bg_spotlight.jpg, eco-bg-spotlight.jpg, eco-bg-spotlight-rpt.jpg

It would be less work to simply change all their colors and upload them. If you don't know how to use or don't have Photoshop, a free alternative is: http://www.gimp.org/ Thanks, Bryan

It would be less work to explain to me what each image is used for? Less work for who? Less work to answer my question? I hate incrypted responses. Why are there 3? if it's just a bar, why not use one small repeating image? and I am versed in PS which brings me to the next question. Where are the PSD files and why aren't they included? Seems like a common thing people would want. I saw a few posts asking for them.

eco-bg-spotlight is the gradient area that you see in the middle of the feature area on the demo page. A different image is used to repeat that scheme across the page (without the middle yellowish gradient). The repeating version is eco-bg-spotlight-rpt I'm not sure why eco_bg_spotlight is in there. Ignore that one. These were actually made in Illustrator, and the files are a part of the developer edition bundle which also include the forum add-on and attribution removal.

Thanks for the explaination. I actually thought that I purchased the developer bundle and I don't believew I have the files and ad ons that you mentioned. Can you please verify that I am elegible for the extras you mentioned and then direct me to the downoad. I recently downloaded the package in my account, are those files in that bundle?

There should be separate downloads for the graphics and forum add-on. If you're not seeing those shoot us an email with your purchase confirmation and we'll change the account info manually
