Slider Fixed Height

6 posts in this topic

My slider is adjusting screen to 'fit' photos. I have tried everything I can to not let it do that. I have adjusted and made all photos exactly the same size, however when Slider brings up an image it still increases (top bottom) or decreases (top bottom). It does not see to do this left right as I have set that in pxl width

Does anyone know how to fix the height of Slider or Images in so that there is a smooth(er) shift from one image to next without increasing or decreasing the actual size/page to adjust.

The QuickSlider section is a responsive slider thats width is adjusted by the container its inside. Therefore, if your slider images are 500 pixels wide and you have added it to the Page Template area of your page and your site is 1000 pixels wide, the QuickSlider will become 1000 pixels wide roughly depending on padding etc...

So in order for your images to look perfect without becoming pixelated, you will need to use images that match your sites width or images that have a larger dimensions that your site.

Now that makes complete sense and clearly I am both new to PageLines AND have been staring at the screen too long. Thanks for this. On my list of tweaks!

    • Can I remove the play button that appears on canvas area background images on mobile?
      By crose+
I am using the Canvas Area section at the top of my site. I have a video playing in the background, which works really well on desktop. But on mobile video doesn't play without user interaction, so I have a static image in place as an alternate image. However when viewed on a mobile device there is now a play button over the static image that does nothing. This didn't use to happen so I imaging it is due to an upgrade. But this is really bad UX. Is there a way to remove it?
      Here is the site:
      Thanks in advance.
    • Revslider - Background Clickable

    • Background overlay z-index
      By dawsonbarber+
I added a background image to a container that has a textbox in it, then added a background overlay.
The overlay "overlaid" the textbox content as well as the container background image.
Fixing it was simple enough: I reduced the z-index on .pl-bg-overlay to 0.

    • REVSlider Issue
      By jermainestegall
      Hello Danny,
I've been experiencing problems this past week trying to add images to theREV SLIDER section of my wordpress site.  Once I upload an image, it's not visible within the DMS 2 template.  I can't see images in the media gallery or in the slider even when I refresh or clear the cache etc.  Is there something that's disabled now that was only available for 1 year?  I paid for the template.  Also, if I re-install the DMS 2 template will that help reset anything that may have become corrupt?
Is this a function that only works for a limited time (1 year?)
      thanks again
