Suggestions on which section to use for displaying customer logos

Hi - This may be a dumb question and not the place to post such a question, but as a complete noob to Pagelines I need guidance. I'm currently building the company's new website and we'd like to have a section on the website that shows two rows of customer logos. Some of the logos would go to cases studies. Others would just be static images. An example of what we want can be found at http://www.basware.com/. Scroll down to the Our Customers section near the bottom of the page.

Would any of Pagelines sections work for such an endeavor?

Thanks,

Erin

Hello Erin,

There are several ways to do this but my best guesses are to use:

1. Boxes - You can have up to 6 columns and two rows.  You may add the image and make it link in the Text mode of each box.

2. You can also use the Grid System - http://support.pagelines.me/docs/miscellaneous/grid-system/

The Grid System may be placed in a text widget within a full-width or universal sidebar.   You could also download the Content Box and add it above the Morefoot in Drag & Drop and put the Grid code in there.

Please let us know if this works for you, or if you need guidance with implementation.

Tried the boxes, and while they look good, even with the images being the same size they aren't lining up. How would I get the grid system in place? Am total noob, btw.

Hi Larry,

The link Rob provided has examples on how to use the PageLines grid.

For example, lets imagine you wish to have a two column layout with each column have one image. Add the code below to your page/post, replace
<img src="Image link here"> with your image HTML.

<div class="row">
<div class="span6">

<img src="Image link here">

</div>
<div class="span6">

<img src="Image link here">

</div>
</div>

 The code above will create a two column layout.

I think this is above my ability. Sorry to bother you.

Larry, it's no bother.

As Danny pointed out, you include the code provided in the link I provided, then within the individual grid elements, you just add image code.  If you open a new window on your machine and access your site, create a temporary page, and use WP to upload the images, in the Text tab, you'll see the html code for the uploaded image.  Copy it from there and paste it inside the grid element. Repeat this till all your grid elements are filled.

Really, incredibly easy with no real coding needed. It's almost all copy and paste.
