Newbie Footer Color Problem

Recommended Posts

kinglou75

Hello. I did a search for changing the footer color on a website that I am trying to build out, but I am not having much luck using the code I found on those posts. Id like change it from transparent to a solid color. Nothing seems to work. I am using a background image. You can see the code down below in the image.

Hi,

I don't see the referenced image.  Could you paste the code directly?

Thanks.

Sorry, I dont think I am being clear. I am using a background image and my "footer color" is now gone or I had to make transparent. I would like to add a footer color to the bottom navigation below.

Hi,

Do you have Firebug for Firefox or Chrome's Inspection Tool?  One of these would help you identify the code for the footer, to which you may edit in the solid color you desire.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with the code directly.

I did. Please see attached. I am not to versed in CSS but I am trying. It doesnt seem my the css editor is working in page lines. I did try changing a few things just to see how it worked but perhaps I am not doing it right. I am not sure what to change or add in the css, so if you can please advise.

Thank you for the quick response.

HI,

I recommend you give our customisation methods and our custom CSS documentation a read, as it should help you.

Also, on your image you're targeting the SuperSized Background image ? If you wish to add a solid color to the footer background, you would use something like this:

#footer {
background-color: red;
}

Please search our forums, before posting!
