Lightbox for mobile devices

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a lightbox plugin that can display images, pdf files and galleries in a lightbox / modal window EXCEPT on mobile devices. I have not found any plugins that work reasonably well.

Hello Alex,

I've never heard of a lightbox plugin that can do all that, particularly the PDF files.  If you couldn't find anything at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ perhaps you might find a solution here: http://codecanyon.net/category/wordpress.

As a last resort, I'd recommend communicating with our Pros to see if one of them could develop this for you.  http://www.pagelines.com/pros

      Hi All,
      Looking at adjusting Popthumb lightbox feature, as the default size when you click on the popthumb on a mobile deice is just terrible (its even this on the pagelines PopThumb demo, no idea why its this small, its terrible).
      Found an old post by @cstudio for a work around that I will post below.
      Problem is that when I insert his bottom css code that he recommends at the bottom, I loose the expand feature. Note I have NOT used the top code as it is specifically written to remove this expand feature.
      Any help would be great thanks.

      I used this to get ride of the expand feature.
      div.pp_default .pp_expand { display: none!important; }
      This to fix the small popup
      @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) { .pp_pic_holder.pp_default { width: 90%!important; left: 5%!important; overflow: hidden; } div.pp_default .pp_content_container .pp_left { padding-left: 0!important; } div.pp_default .pp_content_container .pp_right { padding-right: 0!important; } .pp_content { width: 100%!important; height: auto!important; } .pp_fade { width: 100%!important; height: 100%!important; } a.pp_expand, a.pp_contract, .pp_hoverContainer, .pp_gallery, .pp_top, .pp_bottom { display: none!important; } #pp_full_res img { width: 100%!important; height: auto!important; } .pp_details { width: 100%!important; padding-left: 3%; padding-right: 4%; padding-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; background-color: #fff; margin-top: -2px!important; } a.pp_close { right: 7%!important; top: 10px!important; } #pp_full_res { padding: 5px !important; } } Hope this helps anyone that needs it.

      Not sure exactly what is causing the issue. For some reason, why you view my site on mobile, the menu does not show up. It will pop up, but it is black. You can check it out here: http://dev.caryfbc.org. I'm also attaching a screenshot where I shrunk my browser down. Any suggestions?

      I have been using DMS and pagelines.
      I am facing to a huge trouble with the appearance of one of my page on mobile (smart phones) built with pagelines.
      However I haven’t come to any solutions to organise either edit the appearance of mobile view to look neat or deactivate the responsive function.
      Now it looks totally messy on the phone...
      1. Is there any way to edit the appearance of the mobile version (responsive theme)?
      2. Is there any way to deactivate responsive function?
      If I could receive support from you to go thorough this process I would be happy to be a pro member.
      Looking forward to hearing from you.

      This just happened to a site I'm working on. When I decrease width of browser to check for responsiveness...the pagelines content section is not responding???

      While building my website, I set a padding of 5%, 25%, 5%, 25% so the text on the pages is not too wide.
      However, it looks crappy on mobile.
      How do I get the same effect and still have it look good on mobile?
