Slider Text Appearing When No Text is in box

Hi - I'm having a problem and I'm sure it's because of user error. On my front page I've a slider. I typed in "testing slider text 1" in the 'slider text box.' I then refreshed, decided I didn't want a "slider text box,' and deleted the text. But it is still loading. I've refreshed the page, dumped cookies...but still the text is there.

So what's the bonehead thing I'm missing? - Thanks, Erin

If an option is left empty and the option has a default, the default will be loaded. So add a   or something.

I did that and it still shows the greyed area. I just deleted the home page, started again, removed-refreshed-and-re-added the slider to the template...and the grey box still shows up.

Guess there's no fix or suggestions on how to fix/what I'm doing wrong?

I'm using the QuickSlider option with one slider as a test. I understand that if I don't add text to the QuickSlider option nothing will show. Problems is, I originally added text, decided I didn't like it, and then deleted it. Yet despite refreshing, deleting the slider image, removing the slider from the page options, it's still there.

I'll just delete and start over. Again. :startle:

By any chance, do you have a cache plugin on your site?

If so, once you make the changes, clear the cache plugin's cache.  That might help.

No, we haven't installed any plugins yet. Downloaded them, yes. Installed, no.
