Want vertical line between content and sidebar

Hi there :-)

I've been through the tutorials, and read all the help in the forum, however it seems that the vertical line will only go down the length of either the content column pad, or the sidebar pad (whichever you put it on)... On my site however, the content can be shorter then the sidebar, and vice versa, so the vertical line cuts off mid-page... Is there any way to perhaps code both the content pad and the sidebar pad so that the two lines perfectly overlap, thus creating one line which runs top to bottom at all times?

I'm a total newbie at this, and have tried a billion different ways to do this and have had no luck... Is there anyone out there who can help me with the CSS code for this? I'd greatly appreciate it :-)

Jen

Hi Jen

Try applying the css line to the right of the main content column, then it will span the entire length of the sidebar. You might have to edit the margins of the sidebar as applying a border/border-image to the column wrap might force the sidebar to go under the content.

Example of the border on the main column below, hope this helps

#column-wrap {
    border-right: 1px solid black;
    float: left;
}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
