How to Make a Universal NavBar and Logo Link Across Wordpress Network

Recommended Posts

I'm working on my site (http://www.dst100.com) and I plan to have network subsites accessible through the navigation as if they were just different pages on the main site. Since these sites need no navigation of their own, I need the navbar and the logo link on each network site to point back to the main site (like on http://news.dst100.com)

How can I do that? I just upgraded from Platform Pro and so much is different...feels like I'm starting all over with Pagelines :-P

Thanks in advance :-)

Okay, I figured out how to make the navbar universal already using Wordpress Menus. DUH...

But I still need to know how to change the logo link. Thank you :-)

You'll need an 'mu-plugin' to filter the image and link...

pagelines_custom_logo is for the image

pagelines_custom_logo_url is for the url

Is there an alternative solution? I looked into that, and it's a bit confusing. If I have to deal with it I will, but if there is another way, like with custom CSS, I would probably catch on quicker.

couple of 2sec untested examples....

add_filter( 'ploption_pagelines_custom_logo', create_function('', 'return "http://url-to-image.jpg";'));
add_filter( 'ploption_pagelines_custom_logo_url', create_function('', 'return "http://google.com";'));
