If you're having a problem with installing the Google XML Sitemap, I've found a nicely done alternative: http://www.dagondesign.com/articles/sitemap-generator-plugin-for-wordpress/ Dagon does some nice stuff... Although, it does seem as if these function for Video and Images sitemaps; http://www.labnol.org/software/xml-video-sitemaps-for-google/14085/ and http://www.labnol.org/internet/google-image-sitemap-for-wordpress/14125/.
