Script To Make Navbar Image Disappear/re-Appear On Scroll

So what I am looking to do is have the sticky NavBar image disappear whenever the branding logo scrolls into view, and then appear when the branding logo is scrolled out of sight.  There is waypoints, scrollspy, etc....but I am not savvy like that.  Anyone out there think this is possible, and/or easy to show a guy like me how it might be done with a customization.  Wouldn't that be a neat feature for the NavBar in general???  That way, you could have the sticky NavBar at top, but still use a nice logo under it until the scroll occurs.  THat way it can also be available when shown on 480px screens.  Right now, I am using a transparent png where the NavBar image goes, because I don't want the blog title, or the logo (which is duplicated in the branding section below.

It sounds like it would be a cool option.  However, it's the kind of thing you'd need a professional developer to create. I'll refer you to our Pros at http://www.pagelines.com/pros for this.  They're best suited to developing such things.
