Aligning Boxes

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was wondering how one can adjust boxes (not within the boxes) to be aligned centered instead of the default left in reference to the webpage I am setting up?

Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean. Are you trying to get the boxes to fill the width of the page area?

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Can I e-mail you my sample page since I don't want it published in this forum?

I sent you a private message, did you have time to look into this matter?

I just resent an e-mail to customer support with an attached pic. This is getting really urgent to resolve.

Hi there,

I'm responding to you via the forum as I've just seen your email in the helpdesk with the attached screenshot.

The boxes will be center aligned by default on the page, as long as you have the correct amount of boxes for the set selected in the page meta then they will space out accordingly. In the page meta you'll see an option for selecting the number of boxes per row and another per page. Make sure the per row option is set to reflect the amount you actually have on the page, then the spacing will be correct.

Other things that could affect the layout and alignment of the boxes would be if you've entered any custom css which has shifted the main margins/padding of the page container.

To see more on the box settings options please check  - http://support.pagelines.me/docs/sections/boxes/

From looking at the screenshot its hard to tell what exactly could be causing it without a live link to the site where we can check the code, look into the padding/margins etc, but they'd be the first things I'd check.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi James,

Thanks for your swift reply!

I've checked the link you posted and I don't use any custom css. I've checked that the page meta and the amount of boxes per row is ok. Still the 3 boxes are aligned left instead of being centered in reference to the "Features" section and "NavBar" section. I have tried to change the template spacing but it does not affect the boxes section in the "template" but it of course changes the "Content" section in the "template". I've sent a private message to you with the page source code.

Hi,

Boxes are aligned center only the text is aligned left, to center the text add the following code to custom CSS:

#site .fbox {
text-align: center;
}

Keep in mind we can't design your site for you so if you need further CSS help, make sure you've check out W3Schools and install Firebug or use your browsers Web dev tools.
