Google XML Sitemaps

Google XML Sitemaps is not multisite compatible. Unfortunately the Google XML Sitemaps plugin was not tested with the multisite feature of WordPress 3.0 yet. The plugin will not be active until you disable the multisite mode. Otherwise go to active plugins and deactivate the Google XML Sitemaps plugin to make this message disappear. How do I disable multisite mode and do I really want to do this?

If you need to use multisite then no, I wouldn't disable it. You'll just have to not use the sitemap plugin. Alternatively, you can use this tool: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and manually create your sitemap. Thanks, Bryan

Yeah, I know that tool, but it would be awfully nice to have that automated, no?

I have no idea why, but even that generalized Site Map tool (http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/) isn't crawling the WP site. Can you guys please make sure that your system is compatible with the best XML Sitemap plugins? Google XML Sitemaps, etc. Thanks, NPF

I thought you said it just didn't work with multi-site turned on, which we have nothing to do with?

Actually, you're right. So, the question is, how do I turn off mult-site and still have an absolutely, perfectly functioning WP application? In order to make sure that Google XML Sitemap functions properly?

I used this tool, but let it be know, this is a major pain to do it manually and not within WP. http://wonderwebware.com/sitemap-generator/
