Drop Down Menu Not Working With Lite Version

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Someone PLEASE help me.

I have three navigation pages - and two of them are parent pages.

They have the arrows and everything, but when I click to expand the child pages all the browser does is..

mydomain.com/#m1 and so forth.

It doesn't display the drop down menu.

I know I'm on the lite version and all, but if this gets fixed I will more than likely happily upgrade (was planning on it anyway)

You page is stopping early, there is no footer so the js needed is not loading, possibly a php fatal error stopping it? Enable WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php

Thank you so much! It works again!

Is there a way to remove the leaf without breaking anything?

You can hide it with css, or a filter, or edit the footer.php ;)

Can you tell me how to?

Also, is there a way to add mini icons next to child pages in the drop down navigation menu? If so - that'd be AMAZING and I am for sure going to buy the pro.

I don't have menus created as they're confusing. I just have one page as the parent and the rest as child pages.

How would I add the icon then?

Also, what could I remove from the footer.php that wouldn't break the theme but removes the leaf?

Well there is no way to add the class, if you dont add a menu ;)

Also editing the core PHP files is not supported, thats why I suggested using CSS.

Well, since I'm new to this software - please help me out.

Please tell me instructions on how to hide the footer without rendering the whole template.

You've been a big help, and I thank you for that.

Use firebug to find the element you want to hide, then add display:none

In the full version you can hide the leaf, upload your own image, set your own url or disable it altogether.

Hi there, in order to make css alterations you'll need to download a firebug (www.firebug.com) and find the ID/Class for the item you want to apply the new css to. There are many videos on youtube which will advise you on how to use firebug. You're looking to edit the css, not the html or php.

Unfortunately as you're using the free version of the software we're unable to assist you in this process or the editing of any css or customization, you'll need to learn how to use css to make the adjusts yourself.

However, a great entry guide and overview of css can be found here http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp which will help you learn the fundamentals.

If you're looking for a higher level of support for Pagelines then take a look at upgrading to our Pro/Dev edition which is available with a Plus Membership :-)

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
