2 Navigation Bars

Recommended Posts

I have been searching for a bit and am not finding a solution. I'm not sure if my problem has a solution.

My site is at http://ningboguide.com

I am looking to:

Permanently display two nav bars in my header.

I would like NavBar styling to be on the top and classic or simple nav to be below it.

(I'm trying not to use BrandNav because I can't get the thing styled very easily.)

I would like to put the Simple Nav that is only allowed in the footer into the header. Is there some way I can do this?

Or, is there some way to tell WP that I want NavBar and Classic Nav to use different menu sets that I create in Appearance?

I have been playing around with Secondary Nav but there isn't an option to set that in WP Menus?

I'm hoping there's something I can do to make Simple Nav available in my header. That would be awesome and easy.

Thanks for any help in advance,

The Simple Nav is a footer only menu section, you can create a child simple nav section and change the workswith line so that the section works with the header template area. However, in doing so, we will not be able to provide support.

Alternatively, you can use both the NavBar and NavClassic together, to set the NavBar Wordpress menu, visit the NavBar settings in PageLines > Site Options > NavBar. For Nav Classic, go to Appearance > Menu > Theme Locations and select your menu from the drop down for Primary Site Navigation.

The Secondary Navigation can be used with Wordpress Menus, but this is on a per post/page basis and can be configured on the post/page PageLines Meta Settings. There is no global option for the Secondary Navigation section, as it was not designed to be a global nav option.

I changed the colours of my nav (simple nav) and the hover effect (a. hover).
I really tryed to highlight the active/used link in the nav but I cant figure it out.
I want it to be black when active.

I have an issue with NavPro on mobile when the link of the menue is on the same page.
      Here is my website: http://foundersofthefuture.co
The isssue comes from the fact that in my menue most of the items send somewhere else on the same page using anchor link (eg. #container_u788888).
This works well on desktop but on mobile, nothing happens when clicking on the link. One of the link of the menue of the homepage "France" sends to another page of the website and this one works well even on mobile.
I am using the Pagelines framework theme and also used a wordpress plugin (jQuery Smooth Scroll) for smooth scrolling .
Thanks in advance for your help and let me know if I need to provide more information.

      Hi there!
I'd love to have some social media buttons in my navbar like my online-shop has!
Can someone explain me how to create them? I tried a lot but don't know how to realize them...

Hi guys. Just now trying out Platform 5. I like the reletive simplcity of the new interface but there are things I'm used to in DMS that I'm not seeing yet in 5. Is there a good manual, documentation, video series about some of the basics?
In particular, I've got a simple navigation menu, created the standard way in WP menus section with several top level parents, then 3-4 children menu items below a couple parent items. Have them moved to the right to create the standard parent-child relationship but all I see on the page is the parent level items - no dropdown!. So I changed themes from Platform5 to the standard 2015 default theme and now I see absolutely no menu at top, except for the mobile (hamburger?) icon.
In DMS, one had Navi and Navbar, etc sections and each would work differently and give different results. How do you work the menu system in 5? And how get different results ?
