Well running a filter dependant on a browser string is irrelevant in the case of your site, as you have opted to run a hardcore static page cache and serve the same static file to everyone no mater what browser they are running.

Well youd have to ask the buddypress people then. The plugin uses the standard body_class filter to add body classes depending on your browser, its very simple.

But if BP is changing that filter, or not using it then it isnt going to work.

Hi,

I asked this question on the buddypress forum. The response was that it is probably plugin problem...

Anyway. I looked again at the body classes on my site and I can see that regular pagelins body classes are added to buddypress pages. The question that comes to my mind is: what is the pagelines theme doing different than the browser specific plugin?

Furhter, Buddypress is using the filter too. Here is the function https://gist.github.com/4077623. At the end they are merging the buddypress and wordpress classes. Could this be the solution for the browser specific plugin as well?

Thank you.

Hi,

I tested a little further. When I activate the bp-default theme and add the browser specific css code in the bp-default functions.php the body classes are added to all pages. On the buddypress forum it is suggested it has somehting to do with the priority settings of the filter. I tried different priority settings for the filter in the plugin, but without luck. Any ideas how I can prioritze this the right way?

I have noticed that the Fixed Navigation Bar is fixed only on screen resolutions from 800 x 600 or higher.  How can I ensure that the Navigation Bar sticks to the top of the screen when scrolling the page on mobile devices?

      Hi!

I just realized that I used the wrong site layout mode ("Responsive with Pixel Width"): This causes the page to "shrink" when the user views the page in a browser window that's smaller than the site size (1100 pixels). Means the columns of all three areas (main content area, primary siebar, secondary sidebar) are displays smaller tahn they should. That looks terible!

That's why I switched to "Sttic with Pixel With" mode - that's better ... but only on desktop browsers.
When you watch the site on a mobile device (smartphone), this "Static" mode causes not only a black background, but this backgroud lays partially over tho two sidebar areas! Please see the screenshot attached. The original site look you'll find here: mobiwatch.de

So my question is: is this a bug? Or how can I make Pagelines show a static page that looks good on mobile devices, too?

      Thanks in advance!

Over the last month I had extensive communications with the developer of the (premium) Anything Boxes section (in Pagelines store) (Adam Munns) and the developer of the WP Polylang Multilingual plugin (Frederic Demarle).

This was because the following problem occurred:
Anything Boxes showed all posts of two languages (Dutch and English) on the respective static frontpages for each language. It should of course have filtered posts for Dutch language on the Dutch frontpage and English on the English frontpage.

The solution to this problem was simple in the end. When duplicating a page for use in another language the settings for Anything Boxes were not copied to the new page and I should have set these settings manually again on the new page. I wasn't aware of this, but it makes sense. Because of this the pages didn't know how to differentiate between posts from different languages.

The dev of Polylang told me that Polylang is currently smart enough to synchronize metas like Featured images and page templates but it does not work out of the box with metas created by plugins and themes but (according to Frederic) it is rather easy to add them in the list using the filter 'pll_copy_post_metas'.
He mentions that he is not sure that these 'PageLines Meta Settings' are stored in post meta but that would make sense according to him. He asks if the Pagelines dev team will be interested to support this feature in the future.

I'm also wondering if you will consider adding Polylang translation support for manually editable strings like the 'Read more…' strings in Pagelines Settings.

Well that's of course up to you but I thought to let you know to be able to take this into consideration. I also post this for other users in case they experience the same kind of trouble and are looking for an answer.

      Best regards,

I used a custom hook to put a banner ad in my header. It works but its not in the right position. it is centered and above my logo and I would like to float it to the right of my logo in the header. heres the link: http://shaboopie.com/shaboopie-wp/free-logos-pg1/

      thanks.
