I am not an expert on CSS so would really appreciate your help.

Many thanks, Rishabh

Hi,

I have viewed your website and your site or header isn't black so I am not sure what you would like to achieve. If you wish your header to be black, use the following custom CSS:

#header {
background-color: black;
}[/CODE]

However, you have no content in your Header, so this code will no doing anything until you add content.

Hi Danny, thanks so much for your reply. I have added the content and the color doesnt seem to change.

I would like the area that is right on the top of the page to be black. I would like to add my email address right on top with a black background.

I added the code you shared above to the Custom CSS/LESS box - but it seems to change the color of the nav bar.

Thanks for your help! really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Hi,

OK, well that is not what you asked in your first post, you asked how to make your header black. I provided you with the code to color your header area, but like I mentioned you have no content in your header. The Masthead at the time of checking your site was in your Page Template Area.

You have also added the custom CSS to the wrong area, you appear to have added the code to the Header Scripts area, please remove it and add this to the CSS/LESS editor.

If you wish to add your contract information to your site, please see this topic for instructions - http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/21934-how-do-i-add-text-to-my-header/#entry128640

Thank you Danny. I apologise for the misrepresentation. As a novice, its sometimes hard to communicate clearly.

Okay here goes.

Yes, I have added the code - This is whats happening - have a look

http://www.soulrideruniversal.com/blog

I added the code as suggested by Jenny from the link http://www.pagelines...er/#entry128640

Its giving me less compile error

I would like my contact details to appear on the top of the page - with a black background and white text.

Really appreciate your help.

Kind regards,

Rishabh

The code from the post you linked goes in the custom functions.php file which is only available when using a child theme or the PageLines Customize plugin. Learn how to add customization in PageLines.

Hi! I have this same problem with my site www.askainen.fi I need to change the footer color to BE9D4A

There are lots of features in settings, but setting a color doesn't exist.... should be something basic.

@Barbuto,

Go to Wordpress Admin Dashboard > PageLines > Site Options > Color Control and change the body color from black to your desired color, save settings and the footer background should be the correct color.

      Hello,
      I have an older site that was built using PageLines several years ago (prior to the release of DMS). I wanted to leverage some of the power of your new PL5 plugin but the theme prevents be from adding any generated custom sidebars to the theme (through the drag and drop interface) and does not allow me to add any PL5 sections/containers/etc to the header or footer. Is there any way to easily override that or am I stuck only using PL5 in the content areas of the site?
      Thanks so much for the help!

      Hello,
      How can you set the translations with platform5, the parts that are not in pages or posts? Texts and images…

      OK - folks - back with another nit... The "back to top" link works - BUT - it's only active (i.e. clickable with the associated action following) when the mouse-over hovers over the footer area of the page. I did a quick change of the z-depth (to -1) and nothing made a difference. Any thoughts on how to make the *entire* back-to-top icon hover-able/actionable? Thanks!

      hi all, I have some trouble using PL5 on my site.
      I used plugins for event calendar (event on) and plugin (timetable responsive scheduler for WP) for schedule (classes) in the gym.
      The problem is, that post from this 2 plugins are shown without menu in header and footer. (I setup header and footer) in the page editor for all type of page.
      When I create a lesson, it creates posts with slug (I have a slug "lekce" & event for events).
      I try to edit the post with PL editor, but editor is not opening on the post.

      Do you have some idea where should be some problem? Thanx so much.
      here are links for the sites :
      site with schedule :

      site of one of the class (pilates)

      site with calendar :

      7 side with one event from the calendar :

      when I have my site on DMS2 it was working :-(
