Resolved
Constant Contact Form Designer

6 posts in this topic

I installed my constant contact form designer...shows up in the dashboard menu under settings. Nifty little gadget that lets you design a custom form to embed in your site--presumably in the constant contact widget.

I designed a nice looking form, but when it displays none of the customization displays at all. It is just a plain jane "subscribe" box with none of my colors, the background image I chose, nothing. ( I even tried using one of the already customized forms the widget had already available and it did not show up on the site properly either.)

I am completely baffled. Here is the site:

http://pilates.trythiswebsite.com/

Also attached an image of what the form SHOULD look like. Just to give you an idea of the disparity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may be that PageLines CSS is overwriting the style. Is the contact form design controlled by CSS you create?

Hm...not entirely sure. I am not really a great CSS person--I can do little tweaks but I don't know where to look to answer your question...the form is created within a widget--I don't write the css--it is like an app that writes it for me from a WYSIWYG interface. "Select which style of form you want" (there are a few colors/shapes etc)

"Select which fields you want displayed on the form" (Name, First and Last, Email, phone number, etc) "Upload an image as a background to your form" etc etc...I do not see where I would be able to see the actual CSS from the form--or where the Pagelines CSS might be overwriting the form CSS...sorry...kinda a noob

Ah, okay, then PageLines is overwriting the style that you're implementing with the editor. You'll need to use custom CSS to overwrite PageLines. Please see the tutorial here on how to use Custom CSS in Framework: http://www.pagelines.com/wiki/Custom_CSS

      Hi guys
Is there a simple way to customize the default subject line (or any other attributes of the form) of the Contact Form module in Page Editor? I see where I can set who gets emails and how to add/change fields, but this seems essential and there must be an easy way than having to override code? Thanks for your help.

form just sends a boring email with default Subjectline: "New message from [username]" and comes from sender Wordpress of wordpress@mydomainname.com. How can I customize these 2 things?

I've recently added a contact form to my platform 5 site and cannot for the life of me get a response from it. I know with contact form 7, sometimes the information that was being sent through the host email server caused it to stop because it looked like spam, and thus we'd have to change some stuff. Is there any option to do this with the PF5 contact form? Or is it an issue I'm overlooking?

For some reason sidebars are not available in this multisite which is another issue.  So because I cannot use sidebars I cannot put the widget into the page from the sidebar section and have so I have to use a content loop with the contact form in the post.  When I put the content loop on the page it destroys everything and cannot be used.  It also breaks the pagelines editor as seen in this video.  I need to put a simple contact form (should be an included section but for another time) on the page and its taking forever.  Was going to try a hook but the hook plugin isnt working.  Please anyone take a look at the video and help me understand why/how this can be accomplished.  I feel as though it is a pagelines issue and sometimes people think its a plugin or wordpress.  Here is a video which shows the issue.  Luckily I saved the template so when this happens I just reload the template and try again but nothing is working.  Im working with a guy who invested a lot on pagelines and plugins because I told him and now he's questioning it a bit.  I like the platform and trying my best to learn and promote it but need to fix this issue to move forward and any help is appreciated.

      Hi Guys

I am wondering has anyone come across a tabed form that will slide in from the edge of the browser when the user clicks the tab. I have tried a few but am getting varying degrees of issues depending on what browser I am using. I just need some kind of sliding draw if the form doesn't come with it but I can't find anything suitable.

IE 8 is causing me the biggest issue, I have my Pagelines site all working in 8 but I just can't find a plugin that works well with IE8 at all.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

      Cheers

      Hi Everyone,

I am having issues with trying to use the Plugin- Custom Contact Forms on my site. I have recently installed PageLines onto my site and loving it, however now with the new setup, I think that PageLines is over-writing the style of the Plugin itself. Basiclly it is displaying a stock standard contact form on my sidebar without any of the customisation that I have done within the Plugin itself.

It is a very similar situation to the one on this topic: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/22911-constant-contact-form-designer/?hl=contact+form

However the link provided does not work and unfortunately I have very little experience with CSS or code of any sort (hence my conversion to PageLines). I have the Plugin inserted through Widgets into my Primary Sidebar.

Here is a link to my site, I am obviously still converting it over to work through PageLines however I need this resolved to build everything else unfortunately. http://www.buysenterprisers.com

      Details: PageLines 2.4.4
                   Wordpress: 3.5.2
                   Host: GoDaddy

Any assistance would be much appreciated thanks, please if you require any further details, just ask :-)

      Cheers
