mtrebing 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Hey guys, We're moving hosts and I went to set up a test site on my own server. I exported my MySQL database and re-imported it, exported the Pagelines settings, imported those. Installed all the files, images, everything etc. However, when I go to my test server http://scismmarketing.com/crownedheads it looks jacked up. It's supposed to look like > http://crownedheads.com/ < When I'm logged in as an admin on the test site and view the site it looks perfect. As soon as I log out, the test site looks junked up. I've checked file permissions and everything. I've even re-uploaded the PageLines theme. Are there any settings that I'm missing in the default wordpress settings? Thanks for the help. catrina 103 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Did you check your settings to make sure the Drag & Drop set-up is also the same? Please read the docs before posting. mtrebing 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Yes all the settings for the Drag and Drop are exactly the same. I've double checked everything. I've attached screenshots of the differences that I'm seeing. Logged In view: Logged Out view Is there an issue with file permissions or anything?
catrina 103 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Please check Settings > Reading on the Dashboard, too. Is the page display set-up also correct? Please read the docs before posting. mtrebing 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Yep. When I imported the existing database it brought all the info over. I went through and double checked everything before I posted here. Thats why I'm stumped.
catrina 103 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 I searched around in the WP support forum and found that someone experiencing a similar problem had to delete code in one of the files (I wouldn't advise this for you, though - it might break your site). Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to. Designer | Catrina Dulay Founder | Catrina and Mouse
mtrebing 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 Can you post the link in here for that support forum thread? I want to just take alook and see what it would delete. I can always undo it if need be.
Simon 248 Report post Posted October 24, 2012 The page looks different logged out simply for the reason that the 1st thing you did was install an aggressive page caching plugin, logged out users will always be served the cached version. Caching should only be installed IF your server is: 1. Crap. 2. Overloaded. 3. Getting SlashDotted. Please Please disable the caches while developing sites.
