Adding Links To Featured Images

Recommended Posts

rthaemert

I am trying to add an external URL link to each of the featured images in posts, however, when I do, the URL is replaced with the default link, and directs the visitor right back to my site. Can anyone help me with this? What am I doing wrong? The site I am referencing is: http://missbesavin.com/

Thank you!

By default, the featured image should link to the post that it's added to. This is more of a WordPress-related issue, but I searched around for a solution and couldn't find a solid solution for customizing featured image links. Please see this topic on the WP support forum: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/featured-image-link

Thank you! This was helpful, but may be a little too cumbersome for my client (owner of website) to manage on a daily basis. I really appreciate your help and research!

If needed, you can try to hire someone who can handle the coding (if there is a solution that can be found).

I'm building a product catalog site. The featured image is set correctly, but the woocommerce placeholder image is displaying instead. If I click on the placeholder image, the featured image appears, and the featured image works fine as a thumbnail.
Please view the site here: http://www.directmat.net/product/power-lock-logo-mat/
Note: I deleted the placeholder image via FTP to see if that would inspire Quick Shop to look for the featured image. No such luck. Please help!

In Platform 5, Using Framework Section for Content , I have set the hyperlink colors in the CUSTOMIZE section.   However, none of the pages are properly displaying the link colors.   Just defaulting to black, and underline on hover.   I did not see where this would be controlled at the page level or lower

We are building a long-page scrolling site with Pagelines 5. Our menu is made with # links that go to a container's unique ID, e.g. container_ux7al6g
This works, but it doesn't look great in the menu. Is it possible to assign a 'nice' # link, e.g. /#solutions ?
We used to do this in the DMS2 platform through a workaround, but that doesn't seem to be possible now.
      Any suggestions?

      Hi there!
I'm trying to create a featured image for my new blog post. It has text in it, and when I add it as a featured image some of the text is cut off on the right.
Could I get the ideal dimensions for featured images? Or, a way to customise the dimensions so that they are easier to fit in the way I need?
      Thank you kindly
      Nate
