Change Author Section Photo Without Using Gravatar

Is there a way to change the author photo in the author section of the blog. I guess it can probably be done using gravatar.com, but I'm trying to avoid using it. As far as I am aware the Post Author section only supports the Gravatar service. Why do you wish to avoid Gravatar ?

In my case, I have more than 10 authors and I can't ask them all to use Gravatar.

 

Is there any other method?

Unfortunately no, gravatar is the the only method. However, registration takes literally two minutes and once set, they will never have to use it again. It's actually an awesome service, so in my opinion you should recommend it to your authors.
