Profiles for Pagelines settings

Recommended Posts

akhilesh

I am currently trying to develop a couple of child themes for my site. Child themes use the base page lines settings (correct?). So if a different child theme is activated, it still uses the same pagelines settings.

Would I would like to request is that different sets (profiles) of settings be able to be saved in the pagelines system, which a child theme could also request from within itself.

Let me clarify.

The Mud theme (for eg:) works as a child theme. But it includes a setting file which needs to be imported. (overwriting any existing settings)

Now a user can export their current setting and import them back later, but what I am suggesting is that the user is able to keep a setting profile per theme which they can just select to use.

Hi,

I am not sure if this would be more of a Wordpress related issue. However, I have noted this and will add it to my report for you.

I would like isolatedly make this post, since it ist obviously not recogniced in other posts.
"full with" isn´t really "full width"
      Settings
in "Settings" > "Layout / Nav" > "Content With" if setting is 100% BUG: there is still some "Padding" to the right & left of the page See image attached.
Your seem to handle this differntly depending on section (eg. Hero)

Under PageLines > Settings, it looks like the actual setting for the background image tile size is missing.

Is it just me or is anyone else having a problem using some of the settings in the configuration panel - specifically with padding / margin and grid and sizing?
I can't read the numbers and there appears to be no way to just type the numbers in so you know what you're setting something to.
I think it might also help if the adjustments were less sensitive/responsive when you're dragging them up or down.

      Hi there -
      First Question;
I have changed the settings in the WP Dashboard/Settings/Reading for each article to "For each article in a feed, show" "Full Text"

However, only a summary version of the post shows up here; http://dwelltrade.com/blog   I would like to either

      1) increase the amount of the post that is visible. Can I quantify by # of pixels or ?

      or

      2) have the whole post visible in the main blog navigation window.

      Second question;
When I click on a blog post, the blog header image, "disappears" on the individual blog post page such as; http://dwelltrade.com/italy-wine-cheese

Is there any easy way to ensure the main blog page image, is included at the top of all posts, categories URLS?

Thanks in advance  - I'm new at this.
      Jim

      Hi guys

I have had a bit of an issue with the past two sites I have created using the DMS and would just like to check if I am doing something wrong.

I have been using the DMS + DMS Child theme, and setting the site up accordingly and everything added content wise and section wise.

I use custom scripts ALOT, and sometimes they cause the DMS editor to stick or hang, so I need to go to the dashboard to use the fallback code editor.  Only when I do so, NOTHING saves, at all.  I try over and over to save the deleted scripts, but upon refresh, they are all still there, and the DMS just permanently hangs.

      Solution
Copy out all my custom LESS and Scripts, and change the theme to the DMS.  This removes all the custom LESS and CSS, and clears the lot.  Then reactivate the Child theme, and paste it back it, with the problem part of the script removed.  Job done!

      ... not quite

When I then go back to the child theme, ALL the settings are lost, for areas like the header and footer, but the body areas seem to remain.  Surely the database entries save the settings I had on the child theme, and reload them upon reactivation of the theme?

All the page templates are there so it obviously reads the JSON file, so there would be no point me reimporting from that.

Any suggestions or advice on what I am doing wrong would be great, if only to sort the fact I am unable to chance the Scripts/LESS while the DMS is hanging, which is a huge problem for me if I have to re-create the header and footer afterwards.  I would also like to stress this has happened on all the builds I have tried it upon, so it's not a one-off.  Perhaps somebody could try to recreate the hanging DMS locally with a child theme, and see if they are still able to change the fallback code during that time.
