Font Awesome

I'm currently using the Font Awesome Icons (for my social icons) and it appears they don't work in IE8, what about 9 or 10? They seem finicky in Firefox too...anyone else having this same issue?

Looks great in Chrome.

I highly recommend upgrading to IE9 (I can't check to see if they work on this version since I don't have access to IE). I looked up the Font Awesome issue and found this reference: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12680446/font-awesome-not-appearing-in-internet-explorer-8. The solution posted there might be helpful.

My concern is not about me upgrading browsers, but testing a site that could very well be viewed in that version of IE. Thanks for the reference, I will look into it.

Have you deactivated any of the code relating to font-awesome? I can't see the icons appearing on your site now at all. http://screencast.com/t/WiP4zKvp

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

The crappy thing about Font Awesome, is that it isn't awesome in IE or Firefox. I've installed a script that improves performance in IE but Firefox just doesn't seem to support them. Ideas?

Hi, I've just read this which might help. Apparently Firefox doesn't allow you to use the font if its hosted in a sub-domain. Please see the link below, this could be the issue.

I did as instructed and added an .htaccess file to the font folder with the recommended code. It appears to have worked...on to the next problem!

Thanks James.

      I used the following code in a TextBox:  <a href="http://bookpage.html">BOOK NOW</a> <i class="fa fa-cart-arrow-down fa-lg"></i>
But the fa icons are not showing up next to the BOOK NOW text in the fixed top right corner. See website: http://campmoonrise.nl/book-now/
      See code screenshot....

The Font Awesome 'Brand icons' do not render on the mobile version of this site.
The other Font Awesome icons render fine, but the "Brand icons" do not render at all when viewed on mobile.
Everything works normally when viewed on the PC.
Any ideas why the brand icons will not render in the mobile version?
The site is using DMS2 with all updates

      Hi,

I noticed that PL5 uses flexbox for it's responsive grid. I think this is awesome.
But now there's a project coming in where I know I'll have to support older crappier browsers as well. Any thoughts on this? Should I only use PL5 for project where we're focused on modern browsers? Or should I use custom CSS to insert a float-based fallback grid..?

      Thanks!

I was perusing the master list of Font Awesome icons at http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/ and noticed that there are many new ones that are not available in iBox's dropdown menu.  Will these be added in the next DMS update?
      Thanks.

Trying to display social icons in the footer of http://brkichdesign.com/NewSite/. All are working but yelp. It's right after the pinterest icon, it's there but not showing up. Any ideas why?
