n3man 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Hi guys, Have been having troubles with the BBPress and BuddyPress plugins since update. BuddyPress members and groups widgets are broken (see users/drumlines widget on LH of www.ausdrumline.com) BBPress forums completely broken: http://www.ausdrumline.com/forum/topic/yamaha-marching-percussion/ - this topic has multiple replies which are not showing in addition to layout issues. Ideas? Thanks, Cam
Rob 547 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Cam, go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=bbpress Scroll down till you see Archive Slugs After that, you'll see "Forums base". Likely you still have the default in there (99.99% of people never look). When integrating bbPress and BuddyPress, there's a slug conflict with that term. Change it to something else like community, discussion or any single word you prefer. Save the settings. That resolves the conflict. n3man 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Hi Rob, No Love - have changed this as suggested but am still getting the same issue. It is strange, the forums were working fine before... and I did not change this setting before they fell apart so not sure how that could affect it. Also, still the same issue mentioned in the first post with the BuddyPress members and groups widgets. I think something in the latest update is not playing nicely with both BuddyPress and BBPress. Any other ideas? Thanks mate.
Rob 547 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 I have a pretty similar setup to yours. In fact, I think I'm the only moderator who does use bbPress and BuddyPress at this point. See it here: http://www.epicurus.com/discussion/discussion-forums/ You can see my forum topics path differently though. Perhaps because I'm using user groups. Both bbPress and BuddyPress have very odd ways of handling things. Have you run the BP Compatibility? Have both PL integration plugins installed and activated? n3man 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2012 Yep, BP Compatibility done, all PL integration plugins up to date and active. Have tried unistalling and re-installing all of these plugins with no love.
